Now this long report is especially for Mooey.
As you know, I booked an appointment with a bridal shop (I say shop, it was on a farm and had sooooo many dresses to choose from) for 1pm.. Picked my sister up and drove for an hour til we got there. Went in and I obviously looked nervous, so the lady told me to relax and have a good look round, choose 5 or 6 dresses and pop them in my changing room on the rail.. She led us through a little passage into the main room where we passed lots of blingy jewellery. So we started looking round and I tentatively chose a couple I liked the look of and put them on my rail, then chose a couple more and decided 4 was enough to be getting on with. I chose which one I liked best and the lady asked if I would like any help, I looked worried and said I was shy so she said that was fine, I could do as much as I can and to let her know when to come in.. So I got into it and asked her to lace me up. I loved it. Like, really loved it.
I asked if she has anything to put over my shoulders as I would definitely want something because I hate my arms. She brought over 5 different things to try; a feathery shoulder thingy, a furry shrug, a short sleeved bolero, and 2 different style long sleeved bolero. I had a bell sleeved type bolero on (Which was a slightly different colour as she'd grabbed it off another dress), then pranced round the shop for literally an hour and a half. I didn't wanna take it off. My sister suggested trying one of the other 3 dresses on that I had on my rail but once I had this dress on the others looked like poop.. So I said why didn't she take a look at Bridesmaid dresses. She chose 5 to try on and tried each on (All while I stared at myself in the mirror, lol!) She decided she liked one of the bridesmaids dresses best and noted the number down.. I still stared at myself in the mirror..
Then the lady came back to see how we were getting on and I said I wanted the dress, it was definitely 'the one!' although it is the only dress I have ever tried on.. So she took my details and added that I wanted extra dress material to be made into a bolero and I paid 50%. I don't know how I will cope for the next 3 months til my actual dress is in the shop and I can see it again! I want it now!!
I'm really disappointed with the google pics I can find.. There are no close up pics of the blingy bit! ☹️ It has pearls and super sparkly bits all under the bust. Love love love it!
Massive relief now after finding the one!! I thought I'd look like a fat teletubby in a dress but I had a waist and everything!!
