Party rings

AmnesiaCustard, 10 April, 2012 at 15:25 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 32

I have just eaten some Party Rings. They are good biscuits. As are milk chocolate Hob Nobs.

Whereas I would never want a Garibaldi.

What are your best and worst biscuits? (Can you tell it's teatime in this office?)

Love a good chocolate bourbon, custard creams and jaffa cakes.

Worst would be rich tea. For a biscuit specifically designed to be dunked in tea it fails miserably!

Yay = Hobnobs (not chocolate ones though), custard creams, shortbread, lemon thins. And, of course, party rings.

No = bourbon creams, fig rolls, anything with currents in, pink wafers.

Mmmm party rings! I could quite easily demolish a whole packet in one go!

Good: Anything with chocolate, custard creams, shortbread (is this classed as a biscuit?!)

Bad: I can't think of any really!

Enterflora, you are all the wrong way round, biscuit wise. (But you can share my tin any day becasue I shall get all my favourites and not feel bad about leaving you the rubbish).

Also loving Footlong's electric biscuits with currents...! ?

It's all about the dark chocolate digestives, really.

Though party rings may be an acceptable alternative.

Malted milks are good if only that you can perform a "cowectomy" on them...nibble round the cow and see who can get nearest to releasing it from the biscuit. Without biting its legs off.

I really like cookies, the ones from Millie's or similar. Aside from those I'm not a big biscuit person. Ooh, except for cadbury's fingers, which are amazing and once the packet is open I can't stop eating them.

Wouldn't eat custard creams, hobnobs, digestives, Jaffa cakes, rich teas (proper yuk) fig rolls, or those bourbons which are only pretending to be bourbons but are shaped like custard creams and don't taste quite right. All wrongity wrong.

Oooh, I almost forgot - Fox's crinkle crunch creams! But they are definitely a special-occasion only biscuit.

I pretty much like all biscuits, especially ones with chocolate on. I've actually just eaten way too many chocolate digestives!

Can't have party rings though as they aren't suitable for vegetarians ☹️ .

Favourite - Party rings stacked on top of a chocolate finger, with a jammy dodger stuck on the top, and pretty much any other biscuit

Least fave - Jaffa cakes, cheapo bourbon wannabies

Dont get me wrong- I do like a custard cream. They just make me feel sick after a while and then I cant drink my tea. Or move. For a few hours afterwards.

The only ones I can think of off the top of my head that I don't like are Jammy dodgers, would never actually choose these. Biscuity bit is too thick and jam bit too sticky and just too crumbly!

In my biscuit tin, I currently have a metric ***-ton of these:

    and a few of these:

I love a fig roll, me! I also like garibaldis...I LOVE the massive chocolate chunky rings from M&S. I also like their new dessert cookies that you put in the oven and heat up and they get all soft and warm.

I DO NOT LIKE pink wafers, blue ribands, bourbons, coconut rings...

I love golden crunch creams, coconut crinkles, butter crinkles, moo cow biscuits (or malted milks to normal folk), party rings and amber pralines. Cannot stand bourbons. Yuck.

Good - I'm not fussy, I'll eat just about anything biscuity and have a particular soft spot for el cheapo biccies like pink wafers and those ones with the two lines of coconut marshmallow and a line of jam down the middle! Hobnobs also have a special place in my heart though I'd take a plain one over a chocolate one - 'tis a texture thing. I quite like garibaldis.

Bad - Oreos, the biscuity bit tastes like it's been left out overnight and gone soggy. Think those and happy faces are about the only ones I would actually leave in a tin as oppose to just eating all the other ones first.
