Saturday Silly Game - Blonde Viki's Wedding Shoe Fund :)

Blonde Viki, 3 September, 2011 at 15:54 Posted on Planning 0 32

OH and I have been collecting change in a big whisky bottle for almost 3 years. As of yesterday it is full ?

OH thinks we're spending it on a PS3, silly man doesn't realise it's been earmarked as my wedding shoe fund.

So... silly game for a sunny Saturday - how much is in there? Sadly no prize other than the kudos of being a good guesser!

*Cat included to give an idea of scale

Different perspective when tipped out of the bottle...

NB please don't let our 'lovely' living room carpet distract you - we haven't quite got around to decorating our house yet!!

I know when my dad filled up a giant bottle it came to over £200, but it depends what coins you have. Looks like you have mixed copper and silver, so I'm guessing around £250 ish.

Oooh some of you are guessing a bit higher than I thought and backing it up with experience from your own change jars - so I might be in for some fab wedding shoes!!

It's taken me about an hour to count the pennies, so it might be a while before I can give you a result!! But I'm determined to count and bag it myself - no coinstar taking a share of my shoes Smiley winking

Heh heh sadly not! OH is going to deal badly enough with not getting to spend the change on a PS3, if I give his dragon away too, there may be no wedding to wear my shoes at!!

Aannnnd.... the final total, after several hours of counting is £354.55 ?

Must have been lots of 20p in there - chuffed!!

(Also, Jersey 10p, a 1p and a 20p which were mangled almost beyond recognition, an old 5p, a foreign coin I don't recognise, 6 cents (euro) and 1 US cent)

Kfair was the closest and wins the game Smiley smile

    Oh my god that's amazing!!!

My Jimmy Choos were £325 ? There'd even be enough left to buy him a PS3 game after he's bought himself the console!

More than generous. I'd be using the change to buy myself some makeup or something! Ha.

Fab. You've got to spend every single penny on some fab shoes.

And we'll definitely need a flash.
