What songs make you get up and dance?

sherry, 4 April, 2009 at 18:46 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 18

We are having to make up 2 hours worth of songs for our wedding, for the time after we arrive until the singer starts.

So what dances make you get up and dance? (I'm thinking, cheesy music, pop music etc but not hardcore dance - if there is such a thing ?)

Cha cha slide ?? Seriously, it's like the alcohol makes me get up to it. I just can't help it. And I have absolutely no rhythm or co-ordination so you can imagine the state....

I like dancing to stuff like Shakira, Beyonce, Rihanna, - that kind of pop-dance stuff.

But then I'll dance to almost anything with enough alcohol and in the right atmosphere!

It is quite bizarre I am absolutely loving Lionel Richie at the moment (not loving in the biblical sense). So i'd go for Dancing on The Ceiling. What a tune.

At my wedding we made 9 hours worth of music.

We have nothing cheesy at all but songs like Last nite by The Strokes and Debaser by Pixies went down well on the dance floor.

Superstylin' - Groove Armada. Not cheesy, but that is the one song guaranteed to get me up and dancing.
