Hi, I'm a newbie (also a chocoholic)

I'm Lou (Louise, 28) marrying DP (31) on 22nd June next year. We have a DS (Ollie, 2 who was born on my birthday!). We're tying the knot at Dudley register office, and then going back to a local hotel for an evening reception (4pm wedding, so no formal breakfast)

I am also a shoe-aholic and Im trying to figure out a way I can factor in a good 3 new pairs of shoes (minimum) on the big day - I am open to any suggestions I am also slightly addicted to fitness games on the Kinect, mainly because I dont have the motivation to go to the gym anymore, so I spend my days hurling myself around my living room attempting to shift a few lbs.

I'm Catherine. I got engaged 3 1/2 weeks ago and we're getting married on 1st June 2012. I'm not a chocoholic but I do have a very sweet tooth!

I always say you can never have too many pairs of shoes! You'll need at least one pair for the ceremony and one for the reception. Plus a spare just in case one of them gets wet or ruined somehow.

Hello! I'm a newbie (of sorts) as I've only just started posting today, I registered ages ago but life is just so busy. It's now 3 months tomorrow until the big day (8th October) so time to start chin-wagging away and enjoy what's left of my engagement!

I'm 27, living and getting married in Cheshire to my lovely h2b. He proposed last August on a beach in the Lake District and it really was the most romantic day I've ever had. No kids to date but we do have a giant horse who is more spoiled than most children...

A date twin and in the same county as me :-) I'm also getting married in Cheshire on the 8th October. Trying to get my head around wedding organising again after a 2 month break from it (lost my job so was looking like it might have to be postponed, but just started a new job so all is back on track. phew!)

Yay, a date twin! I didn't even know i could have one of those.

I had the break from November to March as we had to move house in a bit of a rush, our lovely landlords put our house up for sale. I feel like I've been playing catch up ever since. Congrats on getting a new job

Hello all

Im not really a newbie (joined last year) but have only started posting this week.

Im getting married on 10th December 2011. We are getting married in Caerleon University, Newport, where we are having the ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening party. All in one place so no need for extra cars or moving about. We are having a civil ceremony and there are approximately 75 in the day and a further 110 for the evening.

Have booked/ordered (I think) most of the big stuff, ie venue, cars, dj, cake, photographer, cupcakes, rings, table decorations, bridesmaids are being measured on Saturday for their dresses, my dress is in and im going for my first fitting on 23 July.

Still need to order our invites for the day and evening, get H2B, bestman and ushers measured for their suits (we know what we want though so thats half the battle), presents for BMs, small ushers and flowergirl and parents! No doubt will be checking my lists over the weekend as time is flying by.

My bosses in work are very kindly paying for the post ceremony fizz, wine with lunch and champagne for the toast as their gift to us. This is saving us a lot of money and is very much appreciated - very lucky girl hey!!

We are not having a honeymoon so to speak but we are going on a mini-moon to Edinburgh for Hogmonay!! We have been before and it was FAB!!! Just a short break away but hoping to go away for a week next year!

I'm new (ish) too, I've been lurking in the background picking up lots of great tips and advice, enjoying the entertainment along the way for a good few months now but never posted!

Seems like an ideal time to say hi and introduce myself .... kinda feel bad for 'hiding' now (must be 'cos of the dodgy dirty News of the World hacking scandal)

Anyways, i'm Loz engaged to R who proposed to me at the end of a marathon we both ran last October. We're getting married 22 September 2012 so I expect I'll be on here A LOT between now and then!!

welcome! what a great proposal story... this is how I wanted my h2b to propose (we are both runners, or were, I haven't had time this year as I seem to be away every weekend and am busy in the week on the allotment)... after 9 years of waiting though I was happy with what he did instead (dropping to his knee in Trafalgar Sq).
