Who saw/will see your wedding dress before the big day?

Just as the title says...who are you "allowing" or "inviting" to see your dress before the big day?

Everyone has seen mine. My Mum, Dad, OH, friends...

It's a dress, I bought it to be seen.

Lots of people have seen my dress (or so it feels).

My Mom, Auntie and CBM have seen it IRL, my Stepmom saw a quick flash of a phone pic, same for my SIL and OHs Mom. My bridesmaids also have a pic I text them.

I'd advise as few people as possible as quite early on, details leaked back to OH about mine, which made me very unhappy!

My mum, MIL and BMs (who are my sister and SIL) will be coming with me when it arrives in the shop as I love the whole girly outing thing, although mum and sis have already seen me in the dress (although it was a different colour so technically doesn't count). Did show a pic of it to my dad, but he won't see me in it until the day. Not going to show anyone else though. No idea what tradition says, just take whoever you feel you want there ?

My mum helped pick the dress and my BMs and MIL2B have seen an online photo with some model wearing it...oh and a couple of colleagues too. And that will be it...everyone else can wait 3 months to see ?

I'm really sorry but this is something I'd like to share with my Mum.

    That's how I'd feel, anyway.

Difficult one, think i'd involve your MIL and let her come....

only my mum, my sis (bm) and my maid of honour have seen my dress. My MIL have seen a pic but cant come due to distance of where she lives and where dress is!

My mum, gran, MoH, and stepdad have seen mine.

In hindsight I would have had just MoH and stepdad (as they will be with me before I enter on the day anyway), as I think my mum and gran got most of their crying done in the bridal shop. Thinking of it now it would have been nice for them to see it for the first time as I walked down the ailse - but I'm a bit dramamtic like that ?

Tbh, I think its nice that she wants to be involved... If you're happy for her to come then I'd invite her. Do you generally get on really well with her?

Emmamac73 - I would just take her. She is probably making up for not having a daughter, would you think it weird if it was your mum asking to come, having seen the dress already? Just be glad that she wants to be involved, MILs can be strange! x

Just my mum & dress lady!

The wedding planning has really brought me & mum alot closer. Weve loved all our days out & the dress (and her outfit) is our wee secret IYKWIM.

One of my BM was / is pissed she wont see it until the day because she showed me hers 4yrs ago but that was her choice, I didnt ask.

The dress shop manager is coming to dress me so I didnt even need to have my BM's shown how to put me in my dress ?

I think the fact that your MIL2B asked would piss me off & out of being thran I wouldnt invite her! But that makes you look bad.

So to keep the peace I prob would ask her.

My MIL2B only has OH and has not been involved much. I see her as little as possible because we dont get on and you know what boys are like - she doesnt get much info out of OH!

Only my mum, my sister and my other bridesmaid have seen it on. 2 other friends have also seen it hanging up.

I don't want too many people to see it but I'm excited to share it with a few of my friends x

My mum, 1 close friend in the flesh and 1 other close fried and MO in a picture.

I wouldn't like my OH's family to see it. I think his sister & mum would say something about not liking it.
