Bridesmaids...how many is too many?

Course it's not too many! I've got 5 and a flower girl, but we've only got the best man and one usher lol going to be very lopsided photos!!

I'm having 4 adult BM's, and 4 flower girls. There's only going to be 70 people at the wedding so seems a bit excessive, but in a bit of a dilemma. OH really wants his uncle there (who is his Godfather), but OH's Mum and Uncle's wife fight like cat and dog so to make sure at least he comes we've had to ask his two daughters to be flower girls, then he can't back out of coming as it's abroad and wouldn't let them fly on their own.

Im having 3 bridesmaids 1 chief bridesmaid 1 maid of honer 1 flower girl 1 page boy

I don't really think there is a cut-off of how many is too many/too few, whatever works for you. I'm not having any BMs and frequently get gawked at like I'm an alien when people find out.

Nah, have as many as you want. It just makes your group shots more fun ?

We are having 3 adult bridesmaids, 2 x 12 year old bridesmaids, 1 flower girl, 2 page boys and 7 ushers!

If you can afford it, have what you want!

I have four adults, 3 FG's, 2 PB's and three ushers as well as the best man lol. Ours is quite a small wedding but as others have said I only intend on marrying once, this is the only day we will do this

As other people are saying, it all depends on the size of the wedding, who you want to ask and your budget.

I'm a little odd in that I'm only having one - my sister, and OH is having his brother as best man.

I have 11..... finally decided on the exact amount after a few ups and downs.

My best friend is my maid of honour, and she will have a 4 month old baby, who she will carry down the aisle as a "flowergirl"

I have 4 nieces, Stu has 4 nieces, so they are all included.

My 2nd closest friend, who was on holiday with us when we got engaged, has 3 beautiful girls, who are also included...

I just realised that makes 12................. GULP! lol.

They, or their parents, are all buying their own dresses and shoes. I am buying hair accessories and flowers/posy. Only the 3 eldest are having their make up done, and a friend is doing the hair free of charge.

I have 5. Couldn't pick between my best girls from home, uni and my old school so having them all. Just hope they all get on ok with each other as they have only met a couple of times. I tend to see them separately as they all live in different places, except two who houseshare.

Im having roughly 100 guests at my wedding. I'm thinking maybe 4 bridesmaid and 2 flower girls. One of the flower girls is 5 so incase she gets stage fright I'm putting her 15 year old cousin with her.

I hope 4 is okay? I mean the church is big enough it's just me wondering since Im paying for the outfits.

Personally I think any more than 4 is too much and it means when you look at your wedding photos all you see is loads of bridesmaids and it kind of takes away the focus from the bride and groom.

I'm having 5, including my maid of honour. His five brothers are his groomsmen, so it matches.
