marry one day so we actually planned the wedding (pre Covid) before we got officially engaged and we chose the ring together and he proposed on the way home with our children in the car ?? we have postponed four times so far! cfb_2x_376771.jpg

Thank you! ☺️ Yes opal isn’t first choice for many people, and it is ‘soft’, so I need to be careful with it. I just wanted something a bit different, plus I still have little diamonds for extra sparkle hehe.

Anthony Constantinou | Anthony Constantinou CEO CWM FX says I bought my round solitaire and then bought my wedding band. I noticed that there is little difference in price in the brands, but the qualityis the same.

The price and quality of any solitaire, depends on the shops, from where you are purchasing these, authentic and reliable shops will definitely not let down your expectations because they have to maintain their reputation in the market.

Love them all! Mine is aquamarine for my fiancé birthstone, ruby for mine & 6 diamonds to represent our 6 children we have between us, that’s why it has a small twist to represent us becoming one family. When I say children the range is 20-28 lol….just has so much meaning xx

My other half proposed at Chatsworth House, October 2021.

We’d been together just over 8yrs by that point, and I’d joked about getting married before we got to 10yrs, before I start getting wrinkles 😂 He’d dropped heavy hints to my sis and best friend that it’d be Spring 2022. He still has something planned (that he won’t tell anyone anything about!), but when he ordered the ring, he got too excited to wait any longer. I’ve wanted to visit Chatsworth for years, so he popped the question there when we’d taken a mini-break to the Peak District, catching us all by surprise and I couldn’t be happier!

I love this thread! Such a joy reading all your stories!
My ring is pictured on the wrong finger as turns out my fingers are tiny! Just had it measured and I’m an H1/2 (lady said the average is N1/2)! But I love it had to wear it even if it didn’t look like an engagement ring!
It’s a non-traditional ruby FH picked in honour of my grandma and my most treasured possession (until now!) being her ruby and gold bracelet. Turns out FH’s birthstone is a ruby too so that’s extra appropriate. I’m one for colour everywhere so the red rock is way more me than the traditional diamond as well.FH proposed on NYE. His grandad nearly ruined the surprise in a phone call earlier in the day(!) so I had an inclination it was coming especially as we’d been talking about getting married for a while - but FH decided to propose “at the moment I was least expecting it”… we we’re staying in this glamping cabin with a fire pit and hot tub, so instead of waiting till midnight or while we were out and about in the beautiful villages, he picked the moment just as it was getting dark and I was in a dressing gown faffing with wine and snacks about to get in the hot tub haha which definitely caught me by surprise! I cried my eyes out to the extent that half an hour later he had to check I’d actually said yes! 😂

Thank you Smiley smile I love your engagement ring! What you might find a good option is to go into your local jewellers and get a custom made ring made - some jewellers will even scan in your engagement ring and then create the ring around that so it fits perfectly Smiley smile good luck!

I hate my hands, so this is the best picture I have currently. We had been looking at rings like a year ago just joking around about what sort of rings i like, and accidentally found the perfect ring. My partner was adament that he wouldn't buy that ring because I already knew what it looks like, so it would take away the surprise. Well a year or so later, in a tiny little pub out for dinner with our 2 closest friends, he got on one knee and proposed with THE Ring! I absolutely love the ring and even though I'd already seen it, it is perfect.

I dragged my other half to a craft fair and we walked past a jewellery stall and he asked if he was to buy me a special ring what type would I like? Me being me and having already thought about it, when we got home I gave him my grandmother’s solitaire engagement ring and sent him pictures of the designs I liked to re-set it.
It went in to his bedside table draw and every so often I would check if it was still there and it always was so I knew the proposal was not on its way anytime soon.
I was hoping my 50th birthday would be the perfect time but that came and went….During Covid we had to do a jewellery insurance claim and we had a jeweller come to the house. The ring came out and we picked a design together. I was so excited but couldn’t tell anyone until he actually he’d proposed! Not wanting to rush things he made me wait another few months before proposing on our 7 year anniversary of our first date in November last year. We got married last month. It was worth the (3 year!) wait and we had a magical day.

Aww this is a lovely thread! Mine's a sapphire (which is my birthstone), and my partner said he picked one with the Celtic knot to signify our bond and my ties to Scotland (I'm from England and moved up here in 2014 - met my partner not long after). It's so meaningful because it shows how well he knows me, and that I wouldn't want a 'traditional' ring. Engagement Rings 8

My Fiancé and I got engaged after 4 years together. We moved in together after 2 years , along with our 5 kids (3 mine and 2 of his) he took me to a speakeasy bar in Sheffield and after a couple of stiff drinks , which worried me at first the way he was knocking them back, he proposed. We have had a roller coaster of a relationships with plenty of "blending" incidents , 2 house moves and a bereavement but we have come through it all and we are ready to join both families officially. It's second time round for both of us and I was certain I wanted to get married again , way before he did but he got there in the end.

We got engaged in a flooded Venice September 2019. We were in a restaurant, OH started to say how happy he was being with me etc and what a wonderful person I was, then went down on one knee and asked if I would marry him. I did not expect it at all.

This is my engagement ring!! Still in shock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My OH proposed in Ireland back in February. We flew over just me him and my dad as we were going for a family members big birthday on the Friday night and then on the Saturday he suggested a walk round the castle to walk off the hangover. Although we had gone round the castle a million times before i kept saying i need food first but he insisted in walking there first. We walked into the castle grounds by a balcony area that over looked the river and got down on one knee there and asked me to marry him!!

I instantly said yes and burst out into tears, he then proceeded to surprise me by telling me my mom was in Ireland too and had been hiding in another family relatives house and came and met us with a balloon and was crying her little heart out too.

Everyone knew his plan and it was thought out so beautifully, we continued to celebrate all day long with lunch in our favourite restaurant and a bar crawl with lots of bubbly Smiley heart

All your engagement rings look so beautiful! It's great to see some happy posts amidst all the stress. My ex-boyfriend proposed to me with a ring that had colors similar to a mood ring. It wasn't anything fancy or expensive, but I found the moment so cute, and it still brings a smile to my face. It just goes to show that it's the thought and the love that counts, not necessarily the cost of the ring. I think I found something similar on the mood ring colors webpage.Anyway, I wish you all the best for your upcoming weddings and hope that you get to celebrate with your loved ones soon.

My lovely fiance proposed to me this past weekend. He is 79 and I am 72.....we have been together for a few months now trying our second shot at love in our elderly years.....my daughter set us up. Anyway, I was very surprised when he proposed already. All of our friends and family were there to celebrate with us including my kids and grandkids. It's never too late, ladies. A gentleman is out there for each one of you. Here is the beautiful ring: https://connuit.com/collections/pear/products/solitaire-melee-ring-pear?variant=40419417849925

My OH proposed to me at our favourite hotel in London, where we had our first date in London 3.5 years ago. She planned it all as a ‘Prom theme’ date night and I was none the wiser. On the actual night, instead of asking me to be her prom date, she asked me to marry her! 💍❤️Engagement Rings 14
