Oh dear. I don't have strong feelings about him tbh, but I can't help feeling he has had a very sad and lonely life. I wonder whether this will invalidate the confidentiality agreements Debbie Rowe (is that her name?) signed and ethereals will be spilled...

I think the BBC are very careful these days about not reporting things until they've had confirmation from official sources.

I wonder if the upcoming concerts have put him under too much stress. It's terribly sad, my sister was a big fan when we were growing up.

Reuters are saying he's died.

That puts it in a different light. Are they saying he's died or that he "has died"?

I'm really shocked and sad, I'm not sure why.

I certainly wasn't a fan in recent years but his older stuff was fantastic, especially with the Jackson 5

I see what you mean...they just said 'they have confirmed a 50 year old man was rushed to hospital'. Im guessing Michael Jackson is not the only 50 year old man in that area!

Reuters are only saying that TMZ.com are reporting he's died. The is also what the BBC and Sky are saying too.

No news agencies are confirming that Jackson has died.

BBC have just cut the news feed into Newsnight, saying that due to the strict US privacy laws they cannot confirm but...........
