That looks fab, lots of character!! Was there a choice of venues? Don't beat yourself up about making the decision. It's a huge investment so just take the plunge when your sure.
Yeah, I am torn! But I got that excited feeling that you are meant to get when you find your dress for oakwell. Mitton is nice, but the reception room is very normal.
Makes perfect sense. I haven't seen it in person but from what I've seen online (not just on their website), it certainly doesn't look cheap! Imagine what you could do to it too!
Aw thanks for your opinion. I am rubbish at making decisions and Oakwell does have a few quirks to work around, but so do I. I don't want a boring wedding.
I have lots and lots of ideas on what to do at Oakwell, but then Mitton is in the back of my head. Haha. Should never have gone to look at it with my OH after I had my heart set on Oakwell.
Could you possibly take time out one day and pop back to see both with your pros and cons head on. Might really make your mind up on one when you see it with fresh eyes!
What date in October are you?! I'm the 3rd!!! It's 651 days away! It's seems like ages, but when we booked the venue it was 701 days, and it's gone relatively quickly so far!!!
We have booked an Edwardian Manor House with an adjoining Marquee! We are getting married in our local church. I'm so excited!
Whats your venue like?! Have you booked anything else?!
i think the weather can be dodgy at anytime of the year! My friend got married in June this year and it rained for most of the day! I think with an autumn wedding that it will be sunny, but maybe a chill though! I don't mind as long as it doesn't rain!!!
I've actually sent some of our save the dates already! I know it's ages away, but close friends and family were asking so I thought I'd send them! I made them myself!
Im planning on sending my invites end of Feb 2015, that way it'll allow enough time for them to come back to me, and it'll give me time to chase people if they haven't sent it back! I'm just trying to be as organised as possible! x
Maybe send them early next year? I sent ours November as I didn't want them getting caught up in the Christmas post! I have a few others that I will send out in January. I've only sent them to close friends and family that I know I definitely want there. Other people like work colleagues I was planning on waiting until it's a little closer to the time, just because things can change and I might change jobs etc so I didn't want to send them a save the date in case I end up moving jobs and never speaking to them again! xx
