It looks gorgeous, and sounds like you do what me and OH do far more than we should, look at properties for sale and imagine, but of course they are always outside our budget! Well done on managing to be partly realistic, I usually struggle with that.

Ah I see, yes, I'd probably feel the same and not want to be saddled with a huge mortgage near retirement age. You could always try finding somewhere about the same price as your place that needs doing up/modernising a bit so that if you ever sell again, its worth a little more than when you bought it?

Close to where I grew up so I got to experience those views everyday. Realistically we couldnt afford somewhere in the area right now and it is unlikely I will ever make it back there to live as OH needs to be in the Midlands for work but I would like to live somewhere similar one day.

Perfect location, close to our jobs but with a load more space than a 2 bed semi! I would rent out some stables to earn a bit of money and perhaps build a cattery on site too so I could run a business from home.
