Thongs or Knickers?

Inspired by the cystitis thread where Mini blamed her thong wearing on being young. I wear thongs all the time...am I the only one?

I reckon I spend about £150-200 a month on knickers and bras.

    But I love them.

And I don't buy that many shoes so it all works out in the end Smiley smile

    Me either ? I don't think I've ever worn non-matching undies.

Lordy Footlong...this is probably more than your average lingerie model/porn star! (Second career?) I am very impressed. So must Mr Footlong be too.

    (Do not tell Mr Custard)

I'll come in the middle! Mine all match (plus a few spare knickers for when I just want to slob around the house, no bra required) but I don't spend a huge amount on them. I find that Debenhams does a very reasonable range, they have my size unlike most places, and you can pick up a set for £15-20 and sometimes less in the sale.

No to thongs. Can't bear the thought/feeling of something up my bumcrack ??

Actually, you matching undies people here is a "sensible" question, and something I have pondered on muchly...

What underwear do you wear if you are wearing, for example, a white shirt and black trousers?

I very rarely match but luckily OH wouldn't even notice if I did anyway!

    Really?

I have tons of pants that don't match, I'm a bugger for the Debenhams sales and order 10 pairs at a time. I've got lots of sets but I'm to busy on a morning to worry if my knickers match my bra.

I refuse to wear black trousers so that's out ?

But more seriously, I would probably go for a colour that would work with the top! Whichever will be more likely to be "seen" would be the one I match the colour with.

I'm also not too much of a shoe/bag girl (and skint in general) but I would be more likely to splurge on underwear.

Mostly brazilian shorts, a few thongs and a few lacy shorts.

A lot of matching sets but often a plain black/white/nude bra and something more patterned on the bottom.

I have just checked what I'm wearing, I've got a pair of black thongs on with a cream trim and a pink and teal bra. You don't get more mis matched than that!

Not that I often wear a white shirt and black trousers but if I did, I always wear a vest under shirts so I would wear whatever colour I wanted.

The beauty of having only matching sets is that it doesn't take very long to retrieve them from the drawer...

I should add that I have two underwear drawers, one with cutesy stuff and one with saucy stuff. So that eliminates time spent rummaging as well.

I hate thongs except for special occasions when I know they will be coming off quickly.

I wear no VPL shorts usually.

I only match on special occasions!

I have sets of comfy knickers for work (briefs/shorts/thongs) from M&S and pretty shorty things from New Look, none of which have a matching bra.

I know of people buying a few pairs of knickers to match a bra, which leads me to the question - how many times do you wear a bra before washing it?

I have two drawers as well, one with everyday stuff, which I never wear matching stuff. The other has lots of different matching sets that I never seem to wear, I only bought them for the boudoir shoot I did last year ?

I’ll wear a bra 2-3 times before washing. Also would depend on how long I’d been wearing it (a whole day, or just and evening out).

I handwash my bras because I spend quite a lot on them and the washing machine has been evil to my bras in the past.

    Ok another "sensible" question.

Pretty bras (in particular) always seem to have frilly bits on that show under clothes. The undies that don't show are not always very pretty.

How do you get this right?

PS I wear quite a lot of jersey tops/dresses so need smooth undies, hence the qu.

I usually wear my bras 2-3 times, depends on how long and for what though!

I ❤️ Victoria Secret and they usually do a fair few smooth but very pretty styles (though of course after a quick check on their website I cannot find a single pretty example to demonstrate)

Used to wear thongs but its big knickers and shorts all the way for me now, although I do own some thongs still for specific outfits.

Nothing matches, like EF with the price of my industrial strength bras I just can't afford it! I've given up on matching bikinis too...

I wash my bra's after 2 wears. Unless it's a white one and I'm wearing fake tan then I'll wash it after the one wear! Can't stand dirty whites. Worse than that is when you wash your white underwear with a black scok and they come out that manky grey colour. I hand wash all my white underwear now!

See, I don't usually wear very formal clothes (or indeed, very tight clothes) so I worry less about this than the City women! However, my smooth underwear is mostly Calvin Klein, so lots of pretty patterns and colours but available in very smooth micromesh material.

Stuff like this (although I don't have this set):

Again, I've given up on the frillys, I just get smooth tshirt bras now. Got 1 or 2 nicer ones but rarely wear them except for OH's benefit.

I hate knicker shopping (sorry Footlong!)

I'm a bit of a porker and a lot of my weight is belly and bum, I have a big bum, but at the same time I think it's a flat bum. I've tried so many different sizes and styles and unless they are Bridget Jones style they just roll down my arse within minutes ? I hate them but I'd rather wear those than try and discreetly unroll and pull up my underwear when I'm out!

Needless to say I tend to buy longer tops to hide my massive pantaloons [:'(]

Am I the only one that washes her bras after every wear? My mum does it and so does my MIL, I just thought that was normal?

I have had bras mangled by the washing machine before but our current machine is very good and the gentlewash is absolutely fine. I might not be so keen to wash after every wear if I had a mangling washing machine ?

How dirty are your bras? Although given your current biological state, they are only going to get dirtier and dirtier...

Speaking of which, I am eating poppy seeds at the moment...

Dunno... I just wash them. They don't look or feel dirty but neither do my dresses or tights and I wash those after every wash.

And yes, I am only going to get sweatier and dirtier as the months go on. Pregnancy is pretty disgusting... I won't even tell you about my knickers... ?
