My first car was an E reg 1.3L Vauxhall Astra. It was red, but the paint was so faded my dad deemed it 'The car that only looks good in the rain'. I didn't care I only paid £300 for it!
Currently H and I have a 51 plate Renault Clio Dynamique 1.2L. It really isn't a great car at all, in fact it might be the sh!ttest car I've owned (especially when compared to some of the beauts I've owned between the Astra and this), but hey ho. It gets us there, is surprisingly nippy and if someone nicks it, I don't really care!
My first car was a 95 Ford Fiesta. Was a lovely little car until it started trying to kill me at junctions where it would cut out as soon as I'd pulled out.
Current car is a 99 1.4 VW Polo, and I ❤️ it. Its just the perfect little car. Reliable, nippy and lovely to drive. I don't ever want to get rid of her. Sad isn't it really hehe. Was looking at getting a brand new car a couple of years ago (when they were doing the scrappage) and test driving those didn't even compare. Sooooooo glad I didn't scrap her!
Haha my first car was a red T reg Corsa and was exactly the same. I called it Enzo (Ferrari - my little red sports car).
I now have a black Polo. It doesn't really have enough character to warrant a name. I'm a bit angry with it today as a random light has appeared on the dashboard that apparently means there's a problem with the exhaust emissions.
I have an MX-5 too! Mine's only a Mk2 though, in dark blue. I thought OH was being ridiculous when he suggested we buy a "sporty" car but I love it. I intend to make full use of it until it dies, and then that's nature's way of telling us it's time to have babies!
The first car I owned was a red S reg Ford Ka. I called it the ladybird, and toyed with putting spots on it, but I think that might have been taking things a little too far...
After the fire men had chopped the roof off to get me out. I was devestated as my older brother (being a mechanic) had brought it for me and completly done it up for me. Now i have a rover not impressed.
My first car was a red Peugeot 106 (L reg!) that I bought before I had my driving licence! Saved up for ages to buy it. It was diesel so very economic but with no power steering was very heavy to park. I've had my current car (a Punto) for 10 years! Great little car, ideal for London driving and very economic.
It's going to be kept until it dies (at which point I suspect I'll cry!). This years' mission is to buy a convertible as our main car. Not sure what yet but leaning towards a BMW or Mercedes.
