Hi girls! After years of wanting to get married in Ibiza its happening! I am in the early stages of booking my wedding in Ibiza 16th may 2012!!
I have booked a villa can luna in san agustin, anyone heard or seen it?
The original plan, as neither of us are catholic, was to get a blessing in a church but the cost seems to be around 800 euros does this sound right? so im thinking a blessing facing es vedra would be just as lovely - any ideas how to sort this?
Photographer will be ana lui.
had plans to get caterers in to do a bbq in the villa for the reception. I had planned to with vikki from eat ibiza as we met her last year and she was lovely but the villa company have offered to do it for 40 euros a head. we anticipated about 30 + guests but a lot have backed out, so now its looking more like 20 mx, now thinking of doing a sunset cruise instead.
the white chocolate cheesecake sounds yummy! anyone got a price for it?
has anybody seen any saxophone players? Id love that!
with Cardamom Catering, who I booked my white chocolate cheesecake with, for 20 odd guests is around 320 euros I think. They have a cake brochure, if you give me your email address I can send it on to you.
I dont quite believe that i booked Luna without seeing it but to be honest I was just sick of waiting and impulse done it! what did you think of people who manage it? do you think im bonkers getting them to do the catering, I mean I think for a small group and Im not a tablecltohs and canapes sort of girl so Im hoping it will work out ok!
Id love the saxo & bongo players info and about the cake! Im very very grateful
any other info throw it my way pretty please and also anything I can help with!
anyone had prices for flowers? I want to kepp it quite natural so using wild flowers but thinking I might need to sort a bouquet for me xxx
Flowers on Ibiza are expensive. There are only a couple of places where they speak English and have email addresses: The most popular is Ramo-de-flores. ****@************.***
There is also a new guy who is commuting at the moment - but he is already working here on his business so may be good as he is English: look for the website: floraldreams.com
For a celebrant - to perform the ceremony take a look at my partner's site: www.blessing-on-ibiza.com - his prices are good and he is English - many are not!!!!!
As for your catering - good on you!!! so many companies on this Island are over priced, nice to see some correct pricing for a change!!! I am sure it will be delightful.
If you are still looking for a wedding cake - take a look at my site and blog (the blog has up to date work on it!). My cakes are made traditional style to be on display - as part of the decoration throughout the wedding ceremony/meal - they make a perfect centre piece. My prices are very reasonable, as there are no hidden extras and all the decoration is handmade and edible! I do also make white chocolate cheesecakes - just prefer not to if possible as they cannot be on display due to the heat.
Hi girls, we booked our wedding for July 2012 with Candida at CAS MILA. If anyone has any photos they could email to me I would be very grateful. We have gone for the BBQ option, has anyone else had this option? If so, how was it? Was it self serve?
Im feeling a bit apprehensive as we didn't have a taster session.
Hi there, we are currently looking into having our wedding/blessing in Ibiza next year and have been to First Choice to look through their packages, so far been given their blessing package of 715.00, which doesnt seem to include all that much. I have seen your posts on here and the comments you have given regarding the wedding co-ordinator Candi, just wondered if you could give me some idea of what prices you had been quoted, we are looking for somewhere to hold our wedding reception after the ceremony, and to have it at Cas Mila where the ceremony is going to be seems ideal, we just have no idea of the extra costs involved which is obviously a massive thing we need to look at so that we can sort out our budgets, any help or advice from anyone would be amazing as I found the travel agents rather vague and not that helpful... Thanks. Sami
Hi Zulema we saw your hotel in the Thomas Cook wedding brochure and were actually going to book the whole thing until they told us that they were no longer booking weddings with your hotel.. are you able to give me an idea of what you can offer and the prices involved, this would just be for a blessing ceremony and party afterwards both being on a beachfront location.. Thanks Sami..
Hi there just wondered if you had any further details on the cas mila wedding - we are looking into this and have so far no had much information from the travel agents we just really needed to know some more info on the extra costs of the wedding reception/party as this is rather important to us... any help you have or contact details for candi would be so much help.. thank you.. sami
Thanks Hayley, have been on their site, but I needed a price that doesnt include the ceremoy amongst other options I have sent a message via their site and hopefuly I will get an answer soon I cannot believe how unhelpful the travel agents have been so far... no wonder people end up organising this themselves.. seems a bit less stressful xx
I also looked at booking with First Choice but their wedding package didnt include a lot! Have booked my ceremony and drinks etc afterwards with Candi at Cas Mila directly, its looking to be about 900 EUR - this includes the gazebo, altar, aisle etc which are all extras with First Choice! (They wanted an extra £250 for a gazebo?!!?)
Im getting married in Ibiza June 2012 and have narrowed it down to 3 venues, Cas mila, Atzaro and the Hacienda Xamena.
I can see a lot on here about Cas Mila but not a lot about Atzaro or the Hacienda. Does anyone have any experience of these? I can't fly out until next year but will need to making the booking before then so any feedback on these would be much appreciated!
Atzaro is absolutely AMAZING, BUT you don't get the whole venue to yourself so it depends how much you are bothered by that. It is also inland, and so you would probably need to arrange some transport for your guests home at the end of the night. We went there for an afternoon and the grounds are just beautiful!
Hacienda is extremely expensive if you ask me. Plus the service we received when getting quotes and asking to look at the venue was disgusting. This put us off and we didn't got to see it. I fell in love with the pictires from their website though, so I can see the attraction.
I guess it depends what kind of feel you want to your wedding day, Cas Mila is a beach side restaurant and so is quite different from the other venues that you have mentioned.
I'm very surprised to hear you say that about the Hacienda - I've always found them extremely helpful. You're right about the view though, it's amazing!
I don't think it's that expensive, especially considering it's a 5* venue and all of the couples I've worked with there have been extremely happy.
Atzaro probably have the best service of any wedding venue on the island and the only thing going against it is the fact that it's not on a beach.
Like most hotel venues you will only get total exclusivity if your guests book a lot of rooms but the actual wedding area is separate and exclusive anyway so I don't think it matters too much.....
Hmm, it's interesting what you say about the Hacienda, the views are wonderful which is the main attraction but i've had a little bit of trouble trying to organise things with them which has put me off a little. I've had to do all the work basically.
I totally agree with Beezwax, The Hacienda is pure 5* as is Atazaro - I love both venues having worked at both (although Hacienda doesn't allow me to take in a wedding cake - not sure why)
The ampitheatre is just gorgeous - with stunning scenery - though not if you are afraid of heights!!!!
Atzaro - simply bliss, excellent service, and as Bees says although the venue is not exclusive the wedding areas are so it 'feels' as if it is
Thanks Eileen, I guess the only thing holding me back with Atzaro is because it's inland but then the communication with them has been a lot better than the Hacienda which is a major plus.
In reference to a comment about taking rooms out at Atzaro, no one there has mentioned that I need to book guests into the hotel in order to hold the wedding there, this isn't a prerequisite is it? It hasn't been mentioned by them so far if it is?
I don't think you need to stay there, Criistina is the in house planner - speak with her she is very helpful. I can send you an email address for a couple who held thier wedding at Atzaro last August - they were truly delighted with everything and I am sure they will help you with more of the details.
By the way, if it's not too late then i'd highly recommend going through gemma or kerry-anne at ibiza wedding for atzaro as they can get you a better deal than going direct....
Thanks guys. I have been dealing with them direct, it's not a huge party, around 30 people so aside from finding a venue it hasn't been too bad so far.
Eileen, that was very kind o you to drop me that email, i'll give them a shout. Do you have any info on your cakes? x
