I know hahaha can't beleive its happening! I will defo be putting the pics up once I have them Smiley smile

    Plans:

Fly out on the 23rd September to Cala Tarida, staying at the Insotel Club Tarida Beach hotel...... Hen night on the Sunday 25th September eeek!

Wedding: 27th September at 6:30pm @ Cas Mila with the wonderful Candi and her assitant/photographer Anne Walker eeek!

Reception: @ Cas Mila we are having the BBQ package!

Dresses: from Mori Lee cannot wait to wear it, Im doing my own hair and I have just booked Smack (Thanks to you lovely forum ladies) to do my make-up!

I have 33 adults and 7 children so shouldnt be to bad, Ive bought mini personalised love hearts with lipgloss for the ladies & rubix cubes for the guys as my favours, kiddie activity bags for the children. I am puting the favours in ivory chests and I managed to get ribbon in the exact same colour of my BM's dresses to tie round them, with Candi's table deocrations this will tie the colour in just nicely. I have the most beautiful table plan made by some ladie called Eileen (Ebay Shop) which is on a large ivory canvas with my BM dress colour & Ivory table cards all names printed in grey (OH suits are grey with coral cravat) it has tiny diamoties on it and little ivory roses above each table, as their are roses on my dress, a rose in my hair, roses on my floweer girls dress it just ties in nicely, she has also made all the name cards & table numbers so again this ties my colour scheme in brilliant so it is all going to be ivory, coral & grey!! I bought this rose thing for my hair from an ebay shop called choochie choo, really ladies check it out AMAZING!! I think thats everything as Candi does all the rest (DJ, Photographer, Meals, Ceremony, Cake) - to to to to excited!!

Whats everyone elses plans Smiley laugh

I think I am going to gte in touch with Smack, I am also awaiting to hear back from Gloss Hair & Beauty. I would defo like to be pampered on the day, I want to look like a new and improved me on the day. I also like the sound of the makeup applied by airbrush and think that they will know what products can withstand the heat and won't end up sliding down my face.

Can't wait for you to upload pics after your day Kimberley. xx

Ibiza bride, it all sounds lovely. I love the sound of your colour scheme, it sounds really sophisticated. I bet you are just too excited at the moment, I know I would be with 3 weeks to go. You will have to make sure you post some pictures when you come back!

I'm going for a rustic vibe, so we are having nude/pale peach BM dresses and white and pale peach flowers. All the stationery is being made by me onto Kraft card and flower infused paper. I think I might have set myself a rather large challenge though as I am not at all crafty! I am having little wooden hearts for place neames/favours and handing out fans at the ceremony to the ladies. We are having a free bar so I am not buying any other favours. Eat are going to flood the place with candles and lanterns and other than that I don't think we'll have too muchy else in the way of decoration.

I fly out on the 23rd June next year... which currenlty feels a lifetime away! Well it is I supose. I will go to Atzaro with my BM's and mum and FMIL on the Sunday for a chill out and pamper, and then a family meal on the sunday night- probably at Sa Punta. Then I will wave good bye to my OH until the next day! The wedding will be at 4/4.30 in the grounds of the villa, I don't have to do any set up or anything, Eat Ibiza take care of all of that for me. I just get my hair and makeup done, drink some bubbles with my best girls and get dressed! (oh, and get married!)

Ooooh I'm actually sick at home today and this thread is keeping me sane and making me super excited!! yay yay!

Love your plans IB2B all sounds perfect and I cant wait to see the pics - all us Ibiza brides really have chosen the best place to get married!

I was also thinking of having a 4pm service but considering that I then need to get my guests from Cubells to Amante I am starting to think I might need to be earlier. Someone once told me thall all the priests have a siesta from 1-4 so its either a 12pm service or 4pm - does anyone know if this is true??

    Hi Ibizalovin

I don't mind, cascade was £1820, although cascade isn't part of the new collection. Have you seen the 2012 dresses? Ther are some absolutely stunning ones!

What did you think of saskia? I looooved her! She was my close second, whilst totally different to cascade. I didn't go to the JP shop in the end, I bought mine from Amy Louise in Nantwich, the ladies in there are lovely if you are anywhere near?

When do you go to Ibiza?

Yeah Saskia is beautiful. I meant JP’s 2011 collection I didn’t realise that she had her new

Yeah Saskia is beautiful I loved the way it looked when I moved, the beautiful antique silver details, lovely back design and the great effect it had on my bust! I tried it on at Morgan Davies in Angel London but feel so conflicted by my choices that I want to go to the JP shop and see all her designs. I also have a massive crush on May Blossom... I love the drapey flowy bottom.

I went dress shopping on Friday and it’s made me even more confused. I saw a Provonias dress that I loved and looked great in but it’s very lacy and traditional and not how I imagined the ‘vibe’ of our wedding being and then I tried on the Saskia and was totally thrown. It was exactly what I thought I wanted to look and how I wanted to feel but still have the glamour of the Provonias in my mind... very confused!!

I might make a trip to Nantwich and have a look – I’m really struggling with this whole dress thing so totally open to ideas

I’m actually going to my next appointment by myself. I feel like my bridesmaids might be affecting my choice too much they are much more traditional than me so I'm not sure their advice really is that impartial.

Same as my mum, I showed her the traditional dress and she was all teary showed her Saskia and the face she pulled was classic disapproval.

Argh so hard.... thought this was supposed to be fun...

In more fun news though we’re going to Ibiza on the 29th for 7 days, planning and chilling! Soooooo excited!!!!

    Hi Ibizalovin.....

Funny you should mention going dress shopping on your own - I did just that this morning and it was a revelation! Tried on all the dresses I liked and managed to shortlist quite a few without having a running commentary from my mother and bridesmaid! I think it's definitely the way forward. Good luck!

I'm getting married in Ibiza next October and can't wait - only just getting started on all the planning. It's exciting but daunting!

Oooh, how exciting, I am very jealous that you are getting a trip out to Ibiza! I bet you can't wait, have you got much planned for whilst you are there?

With regards to the dress, the best advice I could give you is to try as many on as possible. Start to discount things you don't like about them, such as sweetheart/strapless/straps/short/lace/chiffon/silk etc etc! In the end I went for Cascade as it was more "fun" than saskia, Saskia was beautiful but maybe more sophisticated. I decided I wanted a more frivolous dress! ? The one thing I would say about the lace dress is think about the heat and the weight of the dress, although if you decide that is "the one" then you will cope- if you truly love the dress!

BTW if you go to Amy Louise then ask for an appointment with Ruth, she is lovely and will really help you make decisions about which is "the one"!!!!

    Hi Ibiza brides!

Just wanted to give an update, as I have finally found my venue and set a date! We're getting married in San Carlos church in the north of the island (Sam and Johnny are helping to arrange, as well as doing all of our music) and then having reception at Pura Vida. We absolutely loved the venue, was perfect for us. Gypsy Westwood is our photographer, and Floral Dreams are doing the flowers. Going back over in May to do the tastings, so exciting, it's all coming together!

    Congrats Eileen!

Maybe you can help actually I am going to give Church choosing a second go... I love Cubells but it’s quite a trip by coach from Amante. Do you have any other recommended churches near St Eulalia-except the churches in town I don’t like either of them ?

Side note... did you get my email about meeting next week? x

Just wondering how everyone is transporting all their wedding bits to Ibiza, or is it not a problem for you? I've got lots of DIY bits to do (table plan, confetti, all of the stationery, table numbers, place names, favours!) and am thinking I'll just have to book extra luggage and put in hold. Has anyone else found a way around this? xx
