men going for a wee, dab/wipe or shake?

I've posted on BT about toilet training boys and whether to teach them to dab/wipe their 'willy' or not. In your experiences do you know men who have dabbed or wiped or jangled and shaked?

My H's response to Luthien's "collision" query was that even with "gas power" there should be enough space to drop the kids off at the pool whilst waving them off rather than giving them a hug. He also agrees with Nick's theory about the different angles involved.

Mr Bear will either stand or sit to pee. He will sit to pee if he knows that I am likely to use it straight after him otherwise I think it is all about whether he can be bothered or not.

The only time I know that he does wipe is last thing at night. He normally blows his nose with toilet paper and then will use that piece to wipe but he does sleep naked so don't mind him doing that.........better than a wet patch!

He does stand to wipe after a poo though.

Not at all bothered about using the loo in front of him and he does it in front of me. Can't see the problem. He knows me and we have been together for 12 years. Why should we hide things?

In cultures that don't use toilet paper, what do they do? Just not wipe?

they use water, and the left hand. hence the reason why its not polite to pass anything to people with ones left hand in places like thailand etc etc.

Hang on, if they use water, where do they get the water from? They go to a sink with their troos round their ankles?

again using thailand as the example, there are water taps on shower type hoses in the loos themselves, so one can hose ones arsehole to ones hearts content.

Well, that sounds lovely and clean, but we don't have those over here, so what do people who are used to that system do instead?

I managed to knock one of these with my knee in an airport loo in Sepilok and ended up with soaked jeans - then had to walk back into the waiting 'lounge' desperately trying to look like i hadn't peed myself ?

There was a loo like this in the Green Fields at Glastonbury last time I went. All the hippies were desperate to use it, what with a hole in the ground being so much more natural than a portaloo ? but when I went in there was a neat little row of turds surrounding the hole as not a single person had managed to aim correctly. Still, nicer than the normal loos there. Why can't people just take an Imodium on friday night like any sane person does? ?

Ex Mr TB adapted our home toilet and added a jet wash thing, kinda like a small bidet faucet at the back of our home loo. These jet things are common on Turkish western toilets.

Otherwise, if we were staying somewhere, he got an empty water bottle and made do.

In Turkish "hole" toilets, you dont usually get a shower attachment - its usually a tap and a jug and you sloosh away to your hearts content.

I cant believe this is still going! Just come back to it as I was out last night, seems I missed a lot lol

Mr WTis 6'4" and does happen to have longer legs so his thighs are quite long. He doesnt have a 10inch dong when flaccid (thank goodness) and our toilets are all standard height. Im not providing photographic proof of his freakish peeing, I think Nicks rather fabulous artwork was enough ?

At university I (briefly) had a Bangladeshi housemate. He used to fill a jug with water before he want to the loo (the loo was separate from the bathroom). We occasionally found foot prints on the seat. We think he squatted on it, but aren't 100% sure.

I have been seriously cackling with laughter and disturbing hub from his work ( teach him to bring it home with him)

I asked him about the poo and the dab and he refused to answer. Boring!!

thanks for an awesome thread and temping me back from BT

Was at the hospital the other day and there were notices (with pictures) asking people not to squat by standing on the loo seat. This is a common thing here for people to do.

I dont have the leg muscles and would be a quivering wreck of jelly before the first drop had hit the water!
