On my case I sent the wedding website with all the info along with the Save the Dates.
So yeah, better earlier than later if they need the info to start booking up flights/hotels And I am also sure they won't lose it if it is such vital info!
A wedding website sounds like such a great idea! I was thinking of making a FB group nearer the time but most of the relatives that are anxious about this info aren't that computer savvy :/
I don't particularly like FBs for it exactly because it gets lost amongst other stuff. I have a bit knowledge of webdesign, and have fun doing it, so was quite easy and quick for me to do so
But there are loads of options out there for you if you want to build something as well, have a go at google!
I'm a web developer, hehe but thanks for the advice - you're quite right, for any brides interested in making a website, a quick Google search will show how many awesome options there are for making a website!
I quite liked the idea of a FB because it's more interactive but I take your point about it getting lost amongst other stuff. Hmm, may give the website idea another think - or just do it the old fashioned way
Hahaha, why haven't you done a website yet then? ? Only joking!
In my case, because I invited peeps from abroad was the best way to let them know everything, was a no brainer. Although OH's family were told on the phone by FMIL and they havent even seen it! Hehe.
Definitely not early in my opinion. I'm sending mine out in January and asking for responses by the end of February. I'm having a small ish ceremony (30 guests) so don't really want any gaps.
Must be really exciting to go in and give notice - we can't do it in Scotland until 3 months before the date. There are some strange, quirky differences
Hey ladies sorry I haven't been around much but I've been super busy as not only are we planning the wedding and the arrival of baby bean but we have also decided it was a good time to buy our first house... Talk about not doing things by the half lol house, baby and wedding all within the next 7 months before either of us turn 23 we must be mental x
2nd January to be precise! We want RSVP's by March so we can order place cards, table plan and evening invites. I'm in my third year of uni so have to be organised so wedding planning doesn't impact my studies!
Haha thank you! I have to be organised! I will be ordering my place cards, table plans and evening invites once my RSVP's are back. Hopefully they will be back by March.
So far I have done: Dress, Venue, Church, Invites have been ordered, Bridesmaids dresses and shoes, My shoes and veil, Flowers, Suits, Wedding night hotel.
We are looking into rings.
Ooh and we have booked our honeymoon along with travel insurance and airport car parking etc. We are going to Crete for 10 days! It looks amazing!
Well, it's all starting to get busy again. We've been engaged since last December, so when we got the big things out of the way (church, reception venue, TOG & VOG, caterers, etc), it all seemed to die down a bit from summer onwards. But now...
...so much to start thinking about: order of service, flowers, where/when we want our engagement shoot, hair and make up, designing and printing the invitations(DIY), centre pieces, whether we are having round or long banquet tables, I could go on!
Lots to start thinking about, so I'd better get a move on!
My list is similar to yours except I've got my ring (just not OH's) and done flowers. I bought my BM's dress but have now acquired another so going shopping this weekend! It's flying by now!
