Hello,

Just wondering if anyone else was looking to shift a bit of weight before the big day?

I've lost some already, have 8 months to go, ordered my wedding dress a few weeks ago - in a slightly snug size (but would be OK) which could be laced tighter or even taken in if needed.

I'm seriously lacking motivation at the moment as I've had a grotty couple of weeks with H2B having to move away for work and my nan seriously ill. Need to make sure I don't un-do my good work though and comfort eat.

Anyone else looking for some support? I could do with it!

Oh dear, i've put on 2.5lb in 6 days, how the heck did I manage that!

On the positive side, it gave me such a shock that I did my exercise dvd this morning and had bran flakes for breakfast.

Hope everyone else is having a better weight loss than me this week.

I've been doing weight watchers just over 2 years now. But last year was a non starter, i gained then i lost, then i gained then i lost. So i actually lost 4 stone in one year, but i am back on track now.

Well, what a naughty girl I've been! I've been going along to my spinning and personal trainer sessions but have just not had any motivation to do much under my own steam. I've turned that around in the last week and have signed up for '100k before christmas' challenge. Hopefully this will help me keep motivated all on my own!

I've not put any weight on (quite amazing considering I'm never strict about what I eat or drink) but haven't lost any for a while. Must do better!

    Hi

    How is everyone getting on?

I'm in the same boat as fancy free at the moment having stayed the same for the third week running, getting really frustrated as I am being good ☹️

Hope you are all doing better than me lol!

Good luck with the weight loss girls!!

I'm doing the Slimming World Diet, Lost 9 and a half lbs then put it all back on when my cousin got married as I totally went off track. Back on now though, as my friend gets married in 16 weeks and I would ideally like to be 1stone and a half lighter!! Good thing with Slimming world is I can eat ANYTHING!! Even chips(made to the slimming world recipe of course!!) The magazines provide soooo many great recipes the diet never gets boring!! I have no motivation to go to the gym, although i do go to aerobics or body combat occasionally. Yoga's really good to help lose weight too! x

Ff and woowoo are you toning up at all? If you are you won't necessarily lose any weight but you will lose inches!

I lost another pound this week so I'm over the moon (and my 'overhang' seems to be almost non-existent now lol)

keep it up everyone, it's keeping me motivated!!!!hehe

Keep motivated guys! Even if you aren't losing weight you'll definitely be healthier and will be toning up!

    Well done Jem!

As for me, I've lost 5lbs in 5 weeks! Not bad! Now only 17lbs to go!

Right, tonight was my third week in the 'Advanced Spinners' (50 minute class) and it's definitely keeping the sweat up!

I'm also 25k into my 100k before Christmas challenge (started on 1 November and did a 10k run on Monday).

Hoping my newly found enthusiasm will get some weight shifted.

I definitely am toning up, and finding things like carrying heavy shopping home and putting it up on the side a breeze now. My legs are getting much more solid. My arms are my target area (though have given in to having a bolero) and my shoulders and neckline and back are definitely slimming. I'm getting good old guns - but beneath the fat! Just need to burn more fat! If I keep it up it'll start moving again, because it seems my tummy goes softer then shrinks a bit, then gets softer and shrinks again...

Good for you fancy free, you are doing really well!!!

I fell like a bit of a cheater, i have lost 16.5lbs - half way to my target weight. It has made a big difference and i guess i have been taking the compliments a bit TOO well... like im becoming a bit lazy about the whole WW again... im eating what i like till about thurs, then starving... changed my weigh in to a sat morning so i can "enjoy" the weekend (takeaways n booze)... im STUCK! why am i even surprised??

i need to get the old motivation back! HELP! xxx

I thought that was just me! I felt really bad for a couple of days because I thought the toning wasn't working cos my tummy was all squishy then it always shrank just after I noticed it! I came up with my own ridiculous theory that all the diet and exercise was breaking up the molecular strands of the fat and once it was suitably broken down the body could get rid of it (too much imagination me......)

I like that explanation too, it's what I've been telling myself when I get all 'doughy'. H2B also says it's not improbable that that's actually what's happening!

Ooh, in that case maybe it's not an overactive imagination and I've maybe picked up some actual information off of something I've seen. So too much telly instead....?

I'm trying, but I can't seem to keep it off. I'm worried about ordering my dress in case I manage to loose loads & then it will be too big☹️

Wow, jen and claire that's really impressive!

I lost a pound this week but I also lost 1.5" off my waist and 3/4" off my hips and I only needed to lose an inch off both to be the size of the wedding dress I've ordered!!

Yeah well done jen & claire!!!!! Thats v impressive.

Jem remember that it isn't always about the amount of weight you lose - the inches are just as important if not more so. Thats fab you are nearly the size of your dress - you must be so pleased with yourself????

Are all you girls going to the gym as well as watching what you eat??? I'm v impressed with you all.

    Keep it up ?

Thanks Gillsy, I am really pleased now, my waist is already 1/2" smaller than it needed to be now which I'm really proud of. It's the most I've lost so far but I was walking a lot last week on holiday, I also use the wii fit too, the boxing is great. Unfortunately because of the wedding I can't justify paying for a full gym membership just at the moment. That said, one near me has an offer on, 12 visits for £20 so I've signed up for that to give me a bit of a boost!!

I done away with my gym membership as the £50 a month i was spending on it was needed towards the wedding, and much to my disappointment my weight began to plateau Smiley sad but im on the move again now and have lost another 5lb!!!! i havent got much more to go, just another 8lb before August so im hoping to 'enjoy christmas' WITHOUT undoing all good work! and then keep on track for the wedding as i think its a more than realistic target for an 8lb loss, that will then make it 3st in total!! x

Right then, Im joining in on this as I now only have 3 months to go, so I guess I better get my butt into gear!

I will aim to lose a stone before the wedding (secretly hoping for more) so will have to make some drastic cut backs!

Well done those who have lost loads of weight. You are in the minority of people who have got stuck in and have shed some weight with lots of time to go. You should remind yourself regularly how far you have come and keep gping. Especially through the next month.

Just have in mind the feeling you will have on your day of days when you look great and all the sacrifice will be worth it. The last thing you want to be thinking is you wished you shoudl have done more. So keep on going and Congratualtions for your efforts so far....

    I personally prefere Weight Watchers.

If you haven't been to either, go onto the weight watchers website you can print a voucher off for free registeration and the meeting only costs you £2.75, then try slimming world.

At least you then can try both and see what is suited to you.

Have to admit never tried slimming world.
